Exorcism

This performance was created during a workshop at Forkbeard Fantasy's studio in Devon and uses their technique of 'breaking down the celluloid divide'. The piece was conceived and devised in collaboration with the actress Maureen Baas, who was exorcised during the performance. The characters were developed through improvisation. I played the priest and created the animated ectoplasm with green screen technology and particle systems. The aesthetic of the piece was inspired by research into the connections between stage magic and early cinema.
